PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects who beat a woman with a baseball bat during a home invasion in Northeast Philadelphia early Friday morning.
The violent incident happened shortly after midnight inside an apartment in the 4300 block of Princeton Avenue in the city’s Tacony neighborhood.
According to investigators, two suspects entered the apartment through a window. Once inside, the suspects assaulted a female victim with a baseball bat.
The suspects ransacked the home before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police say the victim told them that one of the suspects is her ex-boyfriend.
So far, no arrests have been made. The violent home invasion remains under police investigation.
