Tow Truck Driver Shot Repossessing Car In Hunting Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia tow truck driver was shot while attempting to repossess a car early Friday morning, police said.

The shooting happened at 9th and Pike Streets in the city’s Hunting Park section.

According to police, two tow truck drivers were attempting to repossess a Jeep. As they were getting ready to tow the vehicle away, a man came out of a home and began yelling.

As the drivers were trying to calm down the suspect, a scuffled ensued at which point the suspect pulled out a gun.

One of the drivers was struck in the hand and shoulder and was taken to Temple University Hospital by his partner. He is listed in stable condition.

Police say the suspect fled the scene after the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.

Just because you had one bad experience does not justify anyone being shot.
