PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Are you wearing sunscreen? I mean even when you’re driving or riding in a car.
It probably seems like an odd question but the truth of the matter is that wearing sunscreen is not something you just do at the beach. You can be exposed to the sun’s rays at any time of the year and in any location. If you don’t believe me take a look at the face of someone who spends a great deal of time driving in the car or sitting as a passenger in the car. The driver often has more wrinkles on the left side of his or her face and the passenger has more wrinkles on the right side. This can be attributed to the sun’s rays going through the windows of the car.
The take-home message is that sunscreen should be worn every day of the week. Now you don’t have to spend a lot of money on sunscreen or use the sunscreen that you take to the beach or the pool. There are all sorts of creams and even makeup products that contain sunscreen.
The bottom line is that sunscreen is not something you should only worry about in the summer.
