Easter Sunrise Services Observed Across The Delaware Valley

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Among the oldest interfaith sunrise services in South Jersey and the tri-state region is one held at the Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.

An overnight rain quickly transformed into sunshine at dawn along the lake at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The service attracted several hundred worshippers and brought together nearly a dozen Christian churches, both Protestant and Catholic.

The service now in its 80th year concluded with the Reverend John Doll of the Asbury United Methodist Church.

The hymn “He Lives” brought home the message of the resurrection and concluded the service.

Be ready for Christ’s return. Make it a memorable and wonderful Easter! Confess that you’re a sinner. Ask God for forgiveness. Accept the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus as the payment for your sin, past, present, and future – and accept Christ into your heart. Become a new creature in Christ, today! It will make a difference in your life!

Acts 2:21 “And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
