NJDOT Suspending Construction Work Over Holiday
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- The New Jersey Department of Transportation says it is suspending all construction work that could affect traffic flow for the upcoming Easter holiday weekend.
State Transportation Commissioner James Simpson says the suspension takes effect at 6 a.m. Saturday and will continue until noon Monday.
He said emergency lane closures will still be permitted.
Simpson urged travelers to allow sufficient travel time to reach their destination, noting that heavy traffic volume is expected.
