Berwyn Woman Helps Expecting Moms Prepare For Motherhood

BERWYN, Pa. (CBS) - The Bravo Network has unveiled a program called "Pregnant in Heels" -- it's a show about a New York City Baby Concierge. A local woman has been performing this service for years.

Shannon Choe established the Berwyn Premier Baby Concierge in 2007, after struggling to prepare herself for parenthood.

"Pretty much starts with creating the baby registry, or helping people find their way to which stuff they really need," she says. "Anything from setting up the nursery to finding a nanny."

Baby-proofing, setting up car seats and much more. In the TV show, Rosie Pope had to organize a Focus Group to help a couple determine a baby's name. Choe says she has encountered a few interesting challenges of her own along the way.

"I've gone into a very, very small Center City space and the parents have said, 'this tiny little office is going to be the baby's nursery, however we can't lose any of the furniture we have in here now.' So there's some interesting requests, but nothing that's really like 'Mama Drama' or the 'Momzilla' -- knock on wood -- I haven't seen any of that craziness."
