1 Teen Arrested, Another Sought For Assault And Robbery Of Elderly Man

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) – New Castle County Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly assaulting and robbing an elderly man earlier this week. Detectives are searching for a second suspect.

Lyndon Johnson of New Castle was charged with robbery-related offenses after he was linked to an assault and robbery of a 70-year-old man.

The incident took place at the Rose Hill Community Center where the victim is employed. Further investigation allowed police to link the crime to another teen who lives in the unit block of Berkshire Road. At this time, police have a warrant out for his arrest.

The elderly victim was treated for his injuries and was released from the hospital.

Johnson was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $76,000 secured bail.
