CBS Radio Unveils New All-Phillies Radio Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Love the Phils?  There’s a new radio station in town that has all things Phillies, all the time.

The station, “Phillies 24/7,” is just what you’d think: Phillies games, Phillies talk, and even Phillies music, around the clock.

Jeff Sottolano, the station’s program director, says the music portion is called Phillies Playlist.

“Which is actually a show that will be a music oriented show,” he explains.  “We’ve interviewed some players in the  clubhouse and talked to them about their musical tastes, both in the clubhouse, in the stadium, their at-bat music, and what they list to at home, and we’re giving them a chance to curate an hour of music.”

Hear Lynne Adkins’ full interview with Jeff Sottolano in this CBS Philly podcast…

On Phillies 24/7 you’ll hear every Phillies game, replays, and talk shows.

To listen to the station you need an HD radio: tune to our sister station 98.1, WOGL, HD-4, for all the Phillies info you could want.

Reported by Lynne Adkins, KYW Newsradio 1060.

Might be interesting if they aired Lehigh Valley IronPigs games delayed in overnight hours. Might be of some interest for die hard fans.

  2. Leo Keil says:

For this to viable, it has to be available as streaming audio.

HD Radio? Who the heck has HD Radio? Why are the Phillies on a right-wing talk station in a solidly left-wing market? 1210 should be all Phillies all the time.

    FAIL!
