Rolling Out The Green Carpet In Northern Liberties
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - They'll be rolling out the green carpet in Northern Liberties this weekend for a fashion fundraiser.
The green carpet event is an eco-fashion fundraiser hosted by the Junior League of Philadelphia, raising funds for the organization and it's community projects.
Ashley Allphin (pictured, right) with the JLP said many of the looks will be made of sustainable cotton and vintage clothing, "Most of our models are from our own membership and they'll be walking the runway, which is 128 feet long. It snakes. It's a fabulous runway. Several of the looks come from our thrift shop 'Very Vintage' and the show starts out in resort wear and ends in bridal."
The fundraiser takes place Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Piazza at Schmidt's in Northern Liberties.
