In Philadelphia, Thousands Take Advantage Of A Winter Weather Respite
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Friday was a beautiful day to have lunch in the park -- Philadelphia's warmest day of the year so far.
Around Rittenhouse Square in center city, lots of folks headed outdoors to enjoy what was looking like a fabulous day.
(Woman:) "It's very nice. It's been so gloomy that it's needed for your soul, you know?"
(Man:) "I'm enjoying the rays. Just a lot of people getting outside. (It's the) first day back out in nice weather. Everyone's trying to get out of the house for once."
And it seemed like a lot of people had spring fever.
(Hadas Kuznits:) "Are you having an extra long lunch day?"
(Woman, laughing: ) I'm starting my weekend early, yes."
(Kuznits:) "You're not going back to work?"
(Woman:) "No, not today."
(Kuznits:) "Does your boss know?"
(Woman:) "Ummm... no. (laughs)"
Folks tell me they hope this weather is a taste of what's to come soon.
(Man:) "I love it. You know, I can't wait until it's every day."
