Rockstar Pink Coming Home To Doylestown For Baby Shower

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - An international rock singer from Doylestown, Pa. is doing well on the music charts and she may be paying a visit to her old stomping grounds.

Alecia Moore, the singer known as Pink has a lot to celebrate these days. The Bucks County native's song "Raise Your Glass" is #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Her song "Perfect" is #1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Chart and #2 again this week on the Top 40 chart.

Laura Johnsen, with the office of safety and security at Central Bucks West saw Pink a lot during her short time in high school.

"Just she spent a lot of time in our office, she really was focused on wanting to have a career.  She really followed through with that and a lot of people can't do that."

But no teacher at her high school knew Pink better than Dr. Joseph Orht, Director of Choral Activities.

"She left a young girl and now she's a world wide superstar."

There's now word Pink plans to return to Doylestown this weekend for a baby shower being thrown for her by her mom.

"She does come back to town, I know that her parents still live here, she has friends who come to town so once in a while we hear Pink's in town, or people will see her in town at the store.  It's always exciting that we see and we hope we run into her."
