PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Tickets go on sale today for The Roots Picnic at Penns Landing’s Festival Pier.

Jeff Gordon with Live Nation Philadelphia says about 6,000 people are expected to attend the 4th annual show.

“The line-up this year includes Nas, Wiz Khalifa, and of course the legendary Grammy Award winning The Roots, who obviously every year headline the Roots Picnic. Esperanda Spalding and a bunch of other great acts coming.”

He says this particular event gains momentum with every year.

“It’s a way for the music community to come out and just enjoy a day. All day, all night of great events, the only real festival down at Penns Landing on the water that’s really, really exciting every year and kicks off our summer concert series.”

The concert is June 4th. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
