2 Philadelphia Police Officers Injured After Collision

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two Philadelphia police officers are recovering after their SUV was broad sided at 68th Street and Woodland Avenue Sunday morning.

Authorities say the oncoming vehicle was traveling fast and ran a red light when the impact occurred. The collision sent the police SUV crashing into a nearby fence causing Officer Antoinette Bethel to suffer a fractured leg and jaw and Officer David Barbour to sustain a concussion.

Both were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police say the suspects fled the scene. So far no arrests have been made.

Probably a stolen car, no insurance, and no license. I hope they catch them and lock them up and throw away the key. I Pray for both officers’ recoveries.
