PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – What organizers bill as the largest endurance sports expo on the east coast runs through 5 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Philly Expo Center in Oaks. And it’s got something for everyone from the weekend warrior to the hardcore athlete.

In its second year, the expo has doubled in size with 200 booths says expo co-organizer Chip Homeier. “The booths range from anything to race directors to coaches to shoe store retailers, bike store retailers, we have advocacy organizations ranging from team in training to tour de cure to American Cancer Society.”

Homeier says the endurance sports audience has exploded over the past few years.

“It doesn’t have to be an endurance athlete, might be an Iron Man person, might be somebody that would be running with a baby jogger one day and the next day going out and trying their hand with a 10K.”

The expo also features seminars and lectures from national speakers. Tickets are $8 online or $10 at the door.
