We are already in the second month of the year; have your plans to finally make it happen already fallen by the wayside? Maybe you decided to run a marathon, shed some pounds, or get a new job, but the goals are fading. Don’t give up, stay committed! Here are some tips from the Council For Relationships to help you stay on track:

Ask yourself is the goal realistic.
Is it a “want” or a “should” goal? “Wants” are much more motivating.
Set up a support system. Give some thought to who/what can help you.
Break big goals into small–even tiny–steps.
Focus on behaviors vs. results. The results will come after a series of behavior change (i.e. exercise, diet, stress management, etc.)
