PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police were forced to open fire on three suspects who attempted to rob a pharmacy in the city’s Holmesburg section Monday evening.
Just after 8:30 p.m., police responded to a robbery call at a CVS in the 8500 block of Frankford Avenue.
When police arrived, the suspects allegedly attempted to carjack someone and raised a gun at police. While it is unclear if the suspect fired at police, police opened fire, striking one suspect in the leg.

Police are still searching for the three suspects who fled following the confrontation.
They were last seen in a white colored four door Chrysler or Oldsmobile.
