PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Expect delays tonight and tomorrow night if you’re travelling through the construction project around Ridge Avenue and Lincoln Drive in Philadelphia.
Construction crews are removing five large beams from a bridge at the Gustine Lake Interchange tonight and five more tomorrow night. Each time the crane is in action, traffic will be stopped, and Penndot spokesman Gene Blaum says to expect delays between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
“We will be stopping traffic for approximately 15 minutes on northbound Kelly Drive, it will also be stopped on an adjacent ramp that’s being used temporarily by Ridge Avenue Drivers to reach southbound City Avenue.”
He says the $20 million project started early last year and should be complete in the fall and once done crews will have replaced four bridges and removed a fifth.
