WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — The Delaware Department of Justice says the pastor has been indicted on charges of stealing more than $358,000 from two parishes.
The Rev. Cornelius Breslin surrendered to Capitol Police on Wednesday.
Officials say the Diocese of Wilmington reported suspicious financial activity to the Attorney General’s office. Authorities say Breslin wrote checks to himself from the accounts of St. Mary’s and St. Patrick’s Parishes, where he is pastor.
