Power Home Building Brings Jobs To Chester

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Another financial shot in the arm for the city of Chester as a major home remodeling firm sets up its main headquarters along the Delaware River waterfront.

Power Windows and Siding has been branching out along the east coast enough that they outgrew their Brookhaven offices. This week they moved into new digs in Chester helped along by $300,000 in state money.

"We will be hiring 100 employees, local employees per year every year for the next years." said company CEO Jeff Kaliner.

And their business continues to expand not just into other markets but beyond window and siding work. So the company's changed it's name to Power Home Remodeling Group.

Why Chester? Well they had considered other locations including the Navy Yard, but the Chester location's proximity to I-95 and the I-476 paired with a good deal on the rent sealed the deal.
