Del. Police Use Footprints In Snow To Nab Theft Suspects

LEWES, Del. (CBS) - Police in Delaware were able to track down three theft suspects after following their trail of footprints in the snow.

Orlanda Moore, 19; Donyell D. Maull, 18; and a 17-year-old are facing several charges after their arrests on Wednesday.

Investigators say the thefts from vehicles happened between Tuesday and Wednesday at the Wolfe Point and Wolfe Runne Developments in Lewes, Delaware.

The three are accused of walking onto each of the victim's property unlawfully and entering unsecured vehicles, removing various items.

While investigating the thefts, officers discovered numerous footprints in the snow around the vehicles. Police then followed the footprints located throughout the developments and eventually took the trio into custody.

The suspects are alleged to have stolen keys, money, GPS units, a briefcase, a leather bag, jewelry, credit cards and other forms of identification.

All three have been charged with 10 counts of Burglary Third Degree, 10 counts Theft Under $1,500, Conspiracy Second Degree and Criminal Trespass Third Degree.

Moore and Maull were remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute on $31,000 secured bond, while the 17-year-old was incarcerated on $21,500 secured bond to the Stevenson Detention House.
