PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police and Temple University police have stepped up patrols around the North Philadelphia campus following three daytime armed robberies of students Monday.

None of the victims were injured.

Police say the incidents occurred within one hour period Monday afternoon beginning at 15th and West Dauphin, then 13th and West Dauphin, and finally 15th and West Norris Streets.

The victims told police that two African-American males, one of them using a silver handgun, were involved.

Temple officials — by way of a campus-wide email system — urged students to be aware of their surroundings and avoid walking alone.
