Firefighter Injured In Chester County Blaze
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a blaze in Chester County that left a firefighter injured Thursday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched to a two-alarm fire in the 300 block of East King Street in Malvern at about 1 a.m.
While battling the blaze, a firefighter was seriously injured in a fall. The unidentified firefighter was taken to Paoli Hospital where he was then transferred via medical chopper to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Two residents were able to escape the flames without injury.
The fire was placed under control at about 4 a.m. and the cause remains under investigation.
