(CBS) – The same two movie attractions tangled for the top spot for a second straight weekend and this time Tangled came out well ahead of the Boy Wizard.
The animated adventure Tangled, jumped from second place to first in its second week of release, earning an estimated $21 million.
The sequel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 dropped to second taking in $17 million.
Holdovers Burlesque, Unstoppable, and Love & Other Drugs rounded out the top five, each earning about $6 million.
Overall, the two strong family films dominated the otherwise soft box office during the traditional lull before the upcoming holiday movie storm.
