By Jim Donovan:  This is a deal that is difficult to pass up.  American Express is encouraging people to shop at small businesses tomorrow.  It is running a promotion on Saturday, November 27, 2010, that it calls Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday is a marketing campaign to encourage shoppers to spend at locally owned, independent brick-and-mortar stores. AmEx is offering 100,000 cardholders who register on the campaign’s website a $25 credit if they use their cards on Nov. 27 at American Express merchants that fit this profile.

The interesting thing is that all you have to spend is $25 to qualify.  That means that after you get the credit, the purchase is free!
