(CBS) - This is a five-day orientation week for the area’s Republican Congressmen-elect. Jon Runyan from South Jersey, Mike Fitzpatrick from Bucks County, and Pat Meehan from Delaware County are among those that are learning the ropes on Capitol Hill. They will learn about transportation issues, voting, and finding places to live.
Ironically, their host is Democrat Bob Brady who is the Chairman of the House administration committee.
Sources report to us that the 90 new Republicans are already being lobbied by the pro-Sarah Palin tea party loyalists and the establishment conservatives being led by former Bush aide Karl Rove.
This struggle for control of the Republican party may be as interesting to watch as how the Obama White House handles the new Republican majority.
