N.J. State Police Investigate Turnpike Shooting

BORDENTOWN, NJ (CBS) - New Jersey state police continue their investigation into an early morning shooting incident on the highway in the Bordentown area.

Shortly after the 3:30 a.m. shooting, a vehicle occupied by three unidentified men pulled into a construction zone and called for help.

Two of the occupants suffered non-life threatening gun shot wounds and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The third occupant was not hurt, but there was visible damage to the vehicle from the shooting.

Officials say the preliminary investigation and witness statements indicate this was not a random act. The names of the men involved have not been released.
