Boy, 15, Struck Twice During Frankford Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday morning that left a teen hospitalized.

The shooting happened at about 9 a.m. near Jackson and Granite Streets in the city’s Frankford section.

According to police, a 15-year-old was struck in the neck and back during the shooting. The teen was rushed by officers to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Investigators say a resident found the gun used in the shooting and they turned it over to police.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately known. Police are continuing their search for the shooter.

    Is he friends with the other 15 year old who got shot in the bar at 2:30am on Monday morning? It’s tough being a 15 year old today.
