Boy, 15, Struck Twice During Frankford Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday morning that left a teen hospitalized.

The shooting happened at about 9 a.m. near Jackson and Granite Streets in the city's Frankford section.

According to police, a 15-year-old was struck in the neck and back during the shooting. The teen was rushed by officers to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Investigators say a resident found the gun used in the shooting and they turned it over to police.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately known. Police are continuing their search for the shooter.
