'Raising Him Alone' Sets Up Shop In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A campaign that helps single mothers raising boys has come to Philadelphia.

David Miller founded Raising Him Alone, in an effort to prevent young men and boys from going down the wrong path, partly because of lack of positive male role models:

"One of the things that we do with the campaign is really focused on partnering with credible community-based organizations to roll out a series of workshops for mothers and their sons that deal with a couple of targeted areas. One is figuring out ways to reconnect Dad. Two is health and wellness both."

Others include educational support and advocacy and financial literacy. Raising Him Alone will be in Philadelphia through next June. For more information, go to raisinghimalone.com.
