3-On Your Side: FREE Financial Planning This Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Are you finding it difficult to pay your bills? Are past due notices filling up your mailbox? If the troubled economy has taken a toll on your finances, there are people that want to help. City governments nationwide and thousands of financial planners are joining forces in an effort to help you better manage your money.

Tomorrow Philadelphia is holding a FREE Financial Planning Day. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter says, "Whether it's managing their own finances, dealing with potential mortgage challenges, you know, how do you downsize your own budget, there will financial experts to help people."

Financial planners will be available from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, October 23rd at Ben Franklin High School at 550 Broad Street . They'll be holding FREE workshops on budgeting, planning for retirement, and giving you advice on how you can get control over your credit card debt. These financial planners will not be selling products or services or giving out business cards. They're there to meet one-on-one with you and answer your financial questions.

Walk-ins are welcome, but admission will be given first to those who have registered online. You can register by visiting this link:
