‘Phillies Flu’ Keeping You Home From Work?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies and Giants play game three this afternoon at 4 p.m., which means some fans will have to get creative to get out of work early enough to see first pitch.

Some fans say with all the Phillies day games over the past couple years, they’re kind of scraping the bottom of the excuse barrel. Others say they have a full arsenal of excuses:

“Got a migraine, can’t stop going to the bathroom, to the kids being sick. We all lie, I work very hard so I don’t feel guilty at all.”

Other fans say there isn’t a need for creative excuses:

“I have Phillies flu, what the heck?  Actually, I’m looking forward to leaving work early just so I can go out and watch the game.”

Fans who are sneaking out of work early also say it’s not like they would get any work done anyway. Their thoughts will be with the Phils once the game gets underway.

Are these people really serious. Get a life people. It’s only a game. I would never put my job or any aspect of my life over a stupid sport Do you really think those players care about you. Oh yea!! Maybe when they cash those fat=ass paychecks that you all provide when you buy those high priced tickets and pther junk they sell.
