PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 5K run and walk will be held in Fairmount Park on Sunday to help provide legal services to those who can’t afford them.
Lauren Kobylarz is development associate for Community Legal Services, a non-profit which helps 17,000 low-income people a year in the Philadelphia area with equal access to justice and legal services, particularly with civil legal problems:
“We’re raising money for legal services; not a disease or health-related issues.”
Kobylarz says it’s also designed to raise community awareness:
“In particular, we have a Law School Challenge. Temple, Drexel, Penn, Villanova and Rutgers are all competing against one another.”
The Justice for All Event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday in Fairmount Park just across from Memorial Hall.
