John Lennon Documentary Gets Central Park Showing This Month

Saturday, October 9th, is scheduled as a "very special day" in New York City.  It's the day of the official unveiling of a new documentary titled Lennon NYC, celebrating  the life of the late John Lennon on the day the famed singer-songwriter would have turned 70.

Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, says the documentary shows the daring of her late husband's life and his belief in New York City:

"It's gritty and real, like New York City itself.  It shows how John was enticed by this magical city and enjoyed the freedom it offered.  He believed in what this city represents: incredible wisdom, high energy, and intense love for life.  That was John."

The documentary will be shown to the public, free of charge, in Central Park on October 9th.  Yoko says the film shows what John firmly believed: that one day we'll all be living life in peace.
