More Than New Season for Phila. Chamber Orchestra
by KYW's Mike Dougherty
The fall season for the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia opens later this month with a new front man:
"Our incoming music director Dirk Brosse"
There's no shortage of excitement for executive director Peter Gistelinck:
"We have a great opening program in September. September 25, 26,27,28. It's a program around two composers -- Mozart and Chopin."
And a special guest will join the orchestra:
"Gabriela Martinez, a Venezuelan pianist. She's a very, very charming and very attractive lady, but she's a very renowned soloist."
Also new, Temple University's Baptist Temple will host 5 concerts this season:
"It's important to reach out to the community, to bring music to the people of the different communities."
