Montco Couple Accused of Recruiting Teen to Sell Drugs

An undercover sting operation in the shadows of the Montgomery County prison results in drug charges against a couple who police say recruited a 15-year-old boy to sell their product.

KYW's Brad Segall reports police say complaints from neighbors over the summer led them to the 5000 block of Defford Place in Eagleville where they arrested 29-year-old Rene Carmona and his 29-year-old girlfriend Alison Napolitano.

Police say a search of their home turned up prescription pills, marijuana, meth and $6000 in cash.

District attorney Risa Ferman says the arrests may have shut down a drug pipeline in Lower Providence:

"When you have a teenager selling, they sell to people in their community. Their community is going to be other teenagers. The likely place that someone like that is going to find buyers is in the school, on the playground, on buses."

The teen has been remanded to the Montgomery County Youth Center. Carmona and Napolitano face numerous charges and are being held on $50,000 bail.
