Big Turnout for Gospel Event on the Delaware River
Thousands enjoyed the sounds of gospel at a six hour concert along Penn's Landing yesterday.
KYW'S John McDevitt reports the crowd was singing along, taping their feet and dancing to the gospel music.
"It works at your spirit. You can feel it in your body. It makes you think about things going on and you just feel so good about yourself."
(McDevitt:) "I got a little smile on my face."
(Woman:) "Yeah! I got one too baby and I feel good just sitting here."
(Man:) "It's about time they raised the name of Jesus out here. So it's a time we get a chance to express the way we really want to feel. That's what gospel music does for me."
There were several regional church choirs that showcased their talents on stage.
