Officials Continue to Seek Answers in Duck Boat Tragedy

The investigation continues into last month's fatal duck boat disaster along the Delaware River.

KYW's John McDevitt reports earlier today Coast Guard safety inspectors were on board one of the amphibious vessels in the river and on land.

Coast Guard spokeswoman petty officer Crystal Kneen:

"They check general safety. They check the stability. They check the mechanics of it and put it all together to make their determination."

There is no word if or when the Ride the Ducks voyages will resume.

They haven't been operating since the July 7th collision between of one of the vessels and a barge.

Two visiting Hungarian students were killed in the incident.

"The captain of the port, along with the city of Philadelphia and the NTSB will get together and make that decision as soon as they have everything they need to make that decision."
