Two Scouts from Chadds Ford Attend National Jamboree

Twins from Delaware County are among the hundreds of boy scouts from the Delaware Valley descending on a Virginia military base for the 2010 BSA national jamboree.

KYW'S Mark Abrams reports among the more than 40,000 people taking part in the scout jamboree at Fort AP Hill just outside Bowling Green, Virginia are twin brothers Joel and Justin Monza (photo) from Chadds Ford.

Joel is a ham radio operator working at K2BSA station:

"My job here is to show the Scouts the cool radios; we got some great radios here. We've got cool things happening -- ISS contact, International Space Station contact. "

Justin is working at the bikeatholon course:

"It's basically a combination of bike track with two shooting stations set up basically the way a biatholon is except bicycles."

That's air rifles or BB-guns for the shooting side. Both say working to make it a fun, memorable experience for the Scouts is what it's all about.
