The Pa. Ballet's second annual Nutcracker Market officially opens its doors today. Stop by and shop three floors of vendors like Manayunk Calligraphy, Stick-Lets and Wild Bull Designs while also catching performances from ethnic dance groups, church choirs and more.

Benefit for PAWS


6 – 9 p.m., $10

Help shelter animals AND get a peek at Fox & Hound's new look at this fundraiser for PAWS. Guests will be treated to a buffet of new and classic F&H foods, plus two drink tickets, and the proceeds from the night go towards helping abandoned and unwanted pets find homes.

Take in amazing views of the night sky from telescopes located on the roof of the Franklin Institute. The event, which is held in the Joel N. Bloom Observatory, is family-friendly and includes a lecture or presentation from Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts or a show in the Fels Planetarium.
