Pop-up Spruce Street Harbor Park is awesome, but today, the Delaware River Waterfront opens a new permanent park up to the public in South Philly. Called Pier 53 at Washington Avenue Green, the new outdoor space features an upgraded path and raised boardwalk at the site of Philly's first immigration station. Stop by and get a glimpse of the park during a ribbon-cutting ceremony complete with opening remarks from Mayor Nutter.
