Philly knows how to tailgate. It is part of the enjoyment at an Eagles Game (or really any sporting event or concert). Philadelphians take tailgating to the next level with portable grills, inflatable furniture, musicians, tents, RV’s and of course plenty of brews. There are tailgate friendly areas throughout most of Lincoln Financial and the adjacent parking lots. Be sure to read the signs wherever you choose as the situation can possible change for the day or event. Here are the top 5 spots to tailgate before an Eagles game.

Lincoln Financial Field
1020 Pattison Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19148
(267) 570-4000

Tailgating at home base is often described simply as “the best”.  People refer to the lot as being full of warm and fun people, plenty of tailgating and plenty of spaces. Generally the price to tailgate/park is $40. There are multiple lots, not every lot is ok to tailgate in. (Q-X is not ok for tailgating). All lots that have porta johns are the lots that are ok, and there are signs.  Sponsored tents can usually be seen also in the lot with giveaways for fans. The parking lot opens up 5 hours before the game, though some people have said they were able to arrive as early as 7 a.m.

The Wells Fargo Lot
3601 S. Broad St.
Philadelphia, PA 19148

Wells Fargo Lot is a popular lot to tailgate in because of the coverage from the elements. In the back near 95 there are spots that are under the off ramp, so if it rains you and your food and drinks can stay dry. It can get pretty packed in here and if you want the best spots you need to arrive early. For 1 p.m. games by 9 a.m., the lot is open by 8 a.m. The Wells Fargo lot allows grilling, not every lot does.  You bring it with you, you clean it up. The cost to park here is typically $35.

FDR Park
1500 Pattison Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19145

FDR Park is located right near all the stadiums so its an easy walk to Lincoln Financial Field. FDR park is a 330+ acre park full of fun, frolic and family friendly activities. There is free parking here and it is a popular place for tailgating. Here you also get to enjoy the greenery of the park and its lake. There was a time you could only tailgate here if you were a VIP and attending the Eagle Fan Zone party, this is no longer the case. Tailgating is permitted in lots A-H and J-N.  This is considered a family friendly environment so maybe a good pick if bringing the kids for a PG tailgate.
