If you’re looking to meet someone or just have a good time, bars are one of the best places to head. With the vast amount of bars and restaurants in Philadelphia, you’ll have no problem finding people with similar interests. With that said, make your way to one of the bars listed below if you’re leading the single life.

Cuba Libre
10 S. 2nd St.
Philadelphia, PA 19106
(215) 627-6193
www.cubalibrerestaurant.com

Cuba Libre is an Old City joint that’ll make you feel more like you’re vacationing in Havana rather than in Philadelphia. Dine with some pals or by yourself and enjoy the best of Latin-American cuisine, like Lechon Asado (pulled pork), ropa vieja (beef brisket) and seafood or vegetable paella. Stick around after dinner for salsa dancing (every Friday and Saturday, 11 p.m. until 2 a.m.) where you’re sure to meet other singles looking for a dance partner, or stay at the bar and buy a worthwhile girl or guy a drink. Cuba Libre has an extensive tropical cocktail list, including many mojitos and caipirinhas.

Drinker’s Pub
1903 Chestnut St.
Philadelphia, PA 19103

124 Market St.
Philadelphia, PA 19106
(215) 351-0141
www.drinkersoldcity.com

Drinker’s Pub has two locations in Philadelphia – Rittenhouse Square and Old City. Both are spacious with enough room to roam around and check out the scene. With a great happy hour (half off all drafts) and other weekly specials ($1 PBR cans and .50-cent wings), you won’t have to burn a hole in your pocket meeting new people. Pool tables and TVs for the sports fanatics are some more perks of these two bars, and both places carry a high-quality bar menu, which includes tacos, burgers and BBQ pulled pork.

Barcade
1114 Frankford Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19125
(215) 634-4400
www.barcadephiladelphia.com

Barcade in Northern Liberties has a room full of vintage 1980s arcade games and the prices to match. In fact, each game costs only a quarter to play, just like it was 30 years ago, and there is a change machine on-site, so you don’t have to carry around a pocket full of coins. While playing a game, maybe you’ll meet a partner who shares your love of arcade games, but if not, you’ll be having so much fun it won’t matter. Barcade serves a good selection of craft beer and cheap bar food, like tacos (which are only a dollar on Monday!), nachos and quesadillas.
