Top Restaurants In Philadelphia Open On Thanksgiving

It's time to give thanks for the Philadelphia area restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving Day. Let's talk turkey: If you'd rather spend your Thanksgiving holiday actually socializing with your loved ones instead of holed up in the kitchen all day, look no further than our handy dandy list of local eateries that are serving up special meals for Thanksgiving 2015. This hip American eatery and bar is known for its farm-fresh cuisine and wide selection of bourbon and whiskey. Chef Tom Harkins is offering up a three-course prix fixe menu for $55 per person ($22 for children) this Thanksgiving, and the menu includes entrée selections such as seafood, filet mignon and of course, roasted turkey with the trimmings.  Kids' plates come with a smaller serving of turkey or a choice of traditional kiddie fare like burgers, grilled cheese or pasta. In addition to the entrees and delectable sides, the dessert selections include a mocha parfait, bourbon bread pudding with maple ice cream and traditional pumpkin pie.

This Rittenhouse Square restaurant is famous for its fresh premium seafood, but come Thanksgiving Day, turkey is on the menu too. Devon Seafood's prix fixe menu boasts traditional roast turkey with cornbread and sausage stuffing, but it also includes seafood-style offerings including lobster bisque, Georges Bank scallops and a maple glazed salmon. Fixed price is $36 for adults and $18 for children age 12 and under.

A country club setting is the backdrop for this stylish bar and eatery, which is part of the Springfield Country Club complex. In addition to a music-filled Thanksgiving Eve party, Tavola offers a full Thanksgiving dinner menu served in the spacious ballroom, with selections that include turkey, prime rib, chicken Marsala, tilapia and mac and cheese for the kids. There's even a chocolate fountain on tap for dessert. The price is $37.95 for adults and $18.95 for kids 2-12.

This Center City café and bar will offer a traditional buffet menu from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. For $50 ($25 for kids 11 and under), diners can go to town on a variety of soups, salads and traditional Turkey Day entrees and sides, including turkey, ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, collard greens with bacon, sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce. A smaller, $25 adult platter is served in the bar area, and that includes a choice of five menu items, soup and dessert. Reservations are clearly required for this all-you-can-eat extravaganza.
