Top Philadelphia Spots For Late-Night Bowling

Bowling is a sport enjoyed by people of all ages, both young and old. Fortunately, Philadelphia has a few bowling lanes that are open until the early morning hours. If you're looking for a spot to head for some late-night bowling, look no further than this list.

Erie Lanes is in Torresdale and is open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on the weekend. This family-friendly bowling alley offers arcade games, a pool table, 48 lanes and a full restaurant and bar. Bowling specials throughout the week include $2 per game, two-hour unlimited bowling for only $9 and Thursday night 75 cents per game (with a $5 cover charge). Come in on Friday for cosmic bowling from 4 p.m. until close. The night features disco lights, blaring music, fog machines, black lights and glow-in the dark bowling lanes.

Laurel Lanes is just a short drive to New Jersey, attached to Brewster's Pub. Open until the early hours every night of the week, this place has 64 lanes, pool tables and arcade games. For the serious bowler, come in on Wednesday night, and with a $9.99 cover, pay only one penny per game. Friday and Saturday night is when the most fun happens however. Starting at 10 p.m., Laurel Lanes hosts a Millennium Madness light show during its three-hour All-U-Can-Bowl for only $15.99 per person. Also, Laurel Lanes' late night weekend special Beer Tube Bowling is not for the faint of heart. It includes two-hour bowling, a 96-ounce tube of domestic beer and chicken wings.

Lucky Strike Bowling is right near City Hall, giving this place a premier location in Philadelphia. It's open every weeknight until midnight and until 2 a.m. on the weekends. After 9 p.m., this bowling alley is only for those over 21, and a strict dress code is enforced (no baggy clothes). Apart from its 24 lanes, it has billiards, bottle service, ping pong and shuffleboard tables. During the week, from 9 p.m. until close, enjoy all you can bowl for $15. A DJ plays on the weekends.

North Bowl has been entertaining people in North Philadelphia for a decade now. The 21,000 square foot bi-level nightclub has a retro feel to it and encompasses bowling lanes on both floors, dining, arcade games, billiards and a lounge. It is open until midnight during the week and until 2 a.m. on the weekend. Come in during late night Wednesday's and enjoy $2 bowling, beers, shoes and tater tots, and also enjoy vinyl records during the evening. North Bowl is restricted to 21 and over everyday after 8 p.m.

South Bowl is North Bowl's sister located in South Philadelphia. It has 26 bowling lanes, two full bars, a wood-oven pizza menu, arcade games, darts, billiards and vintage seating. South Bowl also has a stage that features weekly DJs and bands. South Bowl is 21 and over after 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until South Bowl closes at midnight, bowling is only $2 per game; PBR is $2 and burgers are half off.
