Ah New Year's Eve, the one night of the year where you get to show off how well you can count down from ten while drunk and acceptably kiss a stranger at midnight. How magical.

Instead of doing the same old thing and celebrating the New Year like it's 2014, shake things up a bit and celebrate it like your back in the 80's.

No, we're not suggesting you put on your favorite neon spandex and bust out the giant mirrored sunglasses, but we are definitely suggesting you sit yourself down for a meal at Juniper Commons. Yup, Chef and Owner Kevin Sbraga is bringing it back to the 80's, which is apparently not only the time of short shorts and Afros but a time of delicious roasted meats, totally rad salads and bread bowls filled with dip. Nom.

Here you can expect delicious appetizers like a Smoked Fish Platter, expertly prepared main courses like Eggplant Parmesan, Rotisserie Chicken and Wood Roasted Prime Rib and decadent desserts like the Seven Layer Chocolate Cake and Monkey bread. You can also expect awesome re-imagined cocktails like Sex on the Beach. Seriously, when is that not good?

We know you're probably thinking that you don't want to spend your New Years in a dingy 80's themed dining room, no matter how awesome the food and sex on the beach is. We don't blame you for that because we wouldn't want to either and luckily Juniper Commons totally agrees. The dining room, lounge area, private dining room and bar (yeah the place is that big) are all completely gorgeous and totally modern with wood paneling, brass toned metals and modern lighting and finishing, but with some subtle throwbacks to the 80's to keep with the theme.

So head to Juniper Commons for a New Year's Eve blast from the past. Just leave the parachute pants at home.
