Guide To The StrEAT Food Festival And Manayunk Restaurant Week

Philadelphia-area Restaurant Weeks abound, and this time, it's Manayunk's turn! Head just 15 minutes northwest of Center City for an all-day foodie festival, followed by two weeks of discounted dishes at more than 15 restaurants. –Chelsea Karnash

THE BASICS

What: Much like the Center City version, Manayunk's biannual Restaurant Week means discounted prix-fixe menus at restaurants galore. More than 15 eateries are participating, and menus are offered at three different price points: $15, $25 and $35.

When: Manayunk Restaurant Week kicks off on Saturday, September 28th with the all-day StrEAT Food Festival. Dining specials run that day through Friday, October 10th.

Where: The city's Manayunk neighborhood, located a short drive northwest of downtown.

With nearly 20 restaurants slated to participate, this year's event gives diners tons of options.

STREAT FOOD FESTIVAL

Manayunk will be hosting the StrEAT Food Festival to kick-off the neighborhood's Restaurant Week. More than 40 of the city's best food trucks are set to line up on Main Street (rain or shine) for all-day feasting on the cheap. Specialties will range from ice cream and crepes to tacos and burgers, and the spotlight is on a fall favorite, apples! Plus, kids can enjoy a new zone dedicated just to them, Recess, while adults can imbibe at the festival's first-ever beer garden. Finally, Main Street businesses will be open so that visitors can eat, shop, listen to live music and even enjoy yoga classes while exploring this vibrant hamlet.
