As Shakespeare predicted about 400 years ago, now is the winter of our discontent.

Of course by "now" we don't mean 2014, we mean the summer; when road trips, beach weekends and constantly losing our sunglasses make us feel like kids again. Throw in our favorite childhood pastime (arcade games), and our favorite adult pastime (drinking), and you've got Garage, a South Philly paradise for kids at heart.

Celebrating its one-year anniversary, Garage's minimalist-chic décor (it's literally housed in a former auto body shop) makes it the perfect spot to grab a drink and play the day away at the skeeball machines, pinball tables or pool tables. For better or worse, figuring out what exactly to grab won't be easy, with over 150 local, national and international beers by the can, including 21st Amendment He Said, Finch's Beer Co. Fascist Pig, and Evil Twin Brewery's Hipster Ale, nearly all between $4-$7.

If dominating Skeeball starts to build up a hunger, Garage just happens to have a permanent food cart, with a rotating list of chefs and restaurants taking over daily, including Poi Dog, El Chupa Cabre, Two Birds Catering and Canning, and Fat Ham (of course if you wanted to make the trek across the street to grab a cheesesteak from Geno's, no one would blame you).

Armed with a craft beer and some juicy food-cart eats, the pinball high score list won't know what hit it. Let the games begin....
