DEFEND YOUR RIDE: Kristin In Newtown Square

Q: Hi Kristen. Let's start with the basics. How old are you? What neighborhood are you from?

A: A lady never reveals her true age and I live in West Philadelphia, 19131.

Q: How did you get your car?

A: I traded in my 2007 Nissan Sentra for the brand new 2008 Altima. I love Altimas and wanted one for a very long time, so I decided to just go for it.

Q: What is your car's main use?

A: I use my car mostly to travel back and forth to work. My commute is from West Philadelphia to Newtown Square. Occasionally, I take it on weekend trips to D.C. or parts of Maryland.

Q: What's your favorite part of your commute?

A: I love listening to the radio. It is my favorite part of the day actually. I listen to a mix of Gospel, Neo Soul and R&B. In the morning it's mainly Gospel and the latter two on the way home in the evening.

Q: What's the farthest place you've driven to with this car?

A: I've driven this car as far as Atlanta to attend a friend's wedding.

Q: If your car had a human characteristic, what would it be and why?

A: My car is tough. Jade has been through a lot, so I guess you can say she's sturdy.

Q: How does driving make you feel?

A: I love taking 'short' road trips. Anything within two and a half hours or less is a fun drive for me.

Q: What do you think your next car will realistically be?

A: For a while now, I've wanted a black BMW with a rust interior. However, now I'm slowly but surely leaning towards a black Audi with a black or rust interior.
