THE DEFENSE

Q: Hi Carrie. Your car looks so clean and new. Have you had it long? What can you tell us about your purchasing experience?

A: I marched right into the Conicelli Honda in Conshohocken and bought it myself. It was the first major purchase I ever tackled on my own--at the ripe old age of 37. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. My sales guy, Juan, is the best!

Q: How do you feel about your Honda Fit? What is its main use?

A: I like it a lot! It's perfect for being in the city, easy to park, great gas mileage and seats that flip. It's much more affordable than the BMW X3 I used to drive! I spend a lot of time driving back and forth on I-76 and carting my kids around to various activities.

Q: What's the most memorable or furthest trip you've had with Lil' Vance thus far?

A: My favorite day trip was with my boyfriend and my kids to Wildwood last summer. We went down for the day, hung out at the boardwalk, ate tons of pizza and ice cream, and then zipped home. It was the girls' first time in Wildwood. They really loved it. We took a ton of photos. The farthest place I've driven to was when I drove to South Carolina to visit my dad over the summer. That's a long trip with four people in a little car!

Q: What's the one thing you would change or add to your car if you could?

A: I really miss having heated seats and being able to control the radio from my steering wheel. I was really spoiled by driving a BMW.

Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be and why?

A: If my car had an emotion, it would be silly. It tries to be serious, but it's not fooling anyone.

Q: What are your thoughts on driving? Do you love it or hate it?

A: I'm an aggressive driver, so I have to be careful if I'm already irritated. I don't mind driving, but I like it better when my boyfriend drives my car, so I can look out the window and provide running commentary on the world.
