Madeleine Wright CBS News Philadelphia

Madeleine Wright is a bilingual general assignment reporter for CBS News Philadelphia. She joined the team in January 2022 and was named the Delaware County reporter in July 2023.

While at CBS News Philadelphia, Madeleine has covered major national breaking news stories like the collapse of I-95 in Tacony and the capture of Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger in the Poconos. She also covered the manhunt for convicted Chester County killer Danelo Cavalcante.

Before moving to the Delaware Valley, Madeleine was a reporter at WPLG-TV in Miami. There she covered the Surfside condo collapse and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre. Madeleine used her fluency in Spanish to cover many stories affecting South Florida's large Cuban exile community.

She is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. A native of New York City, Madeleine is thrilled to be back home in the mid-Atlantic. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking on the Schuylkill River with her husband and young daughter.
