Ed AbramsEvery morning KYW Newsradio listeners wake up to Ed’s familiar voice. He’s been part of the KYW Newsradio news team since 1979 — the most listened-to morning team in Philadelphia radio.

In 1977, Ed worked at WDEL in Wilmington, Delaware as an anchor and reporter.

Then in 1978, Ed moved in the radio sales arena and worked as an account executive in the sales department of WPEZ in Pittsburgh, Pa. Later that year he returned to Delaware as an anchor of WILM.

His last stop before joining the KYW Newsradio family was news/talk station WPLP in Tampa, Florida where he served as news director.

Not only can you hear Ed every morning on KYW Newsradio 1060, but he also produces KYW Newsradio’s Golf Reports.

You can also catch Ed on “Golfshots,” Sunday nights on Comcast Sportsnet.

Ed is a Penn State alumnus and a native of the Philadelphia area. He resides in Swarthmore, Pa. with his wife Marie and three children.
